User Reviews about All American 921 All-American 21-1 2-Quart Pressure Cooker Canner
Never having canned before, I did a lot of research on what's out there including cooker/cans that were twice as expensive. Chose this because of reputation, size and features. Excellent product with a very good care book.
Extremely simply to operate even for a neophyte like me. This baby holds a lot and my success ratio on the first two tries was 100%. I did pressure canning of an Italian sauce with meat and then did the boiling method for homemade pickles. Again, all you have to do is simply follow the directions. I would emphaize the importance of filling your jars to between 1/2 and 1/4 of an inch from the top for success.
You will simply love this product. Now you can take some of your favorite items and preserve them for a year or more instead of having to fix them with a lot of frequency. -- so simple!
I have a canner from 1940 that had no pressure gauge on it. I could not find a replacement and therefore, had to purchase a new one. I am so happy that I did. This one is so much more up to date (of course) and I love it.
I do a large garden each year and love to put up all my own fruit and veggies. This is a wonderful tool.
Thanks so much -- Canner Cooker
I love to use my caner to preserve homemade soup. Of course this unit works great, but I was afraid that I would have problems using it on a ceramic top stove. I started it on high until I built steam then lowered the temp slowly (maintaining the jiggle)until I got just below 50% (or a setting of 5)works great no trouble at all. To speed the time it takes to get to good steam I always "hot pack" my jars. Using 3 quarts of water in the bottom of the caner I get to good steam in about 10min. Like I said works great every time! -- Top Notch
Incredibly heavy duty- definite commercial quality and grade. Don't even think about getting one of those cheesy low end cheap pressure cookers (like Presto).
The All American is the top shelf pressure cooker. -- Well worth the price
This canner makes summer canning much easier. Follow the simple directions and voila! Perfectly canned goods for the winter! -- A dream to use!
